About Kasasa
Kasasa (formerly BancVue) powers products and services such as Kasasa rewards checking, personal finance management, online account opening, and savings accounts, and online marketing for community banks and credit unions.
Summary
This position reports to the CEO of Kasasa, Gabriel Krajicek. You will be in constant interaction with senior executives and play a key role in our most strategic and important initiatives. Though you will have no direct reports, this role and its broad scope enable you to work with many different teams and leaders to accomplish your goals. You will assist the CEO and by extension, the senior executive team with coordination on projects and tasks to ensure proper alignment, and execution. You will accompany the CEO to see that uncovered issues are captured, assigned, followed up on, and executed. You will report back to the CEO after performing regular check-ins with key stakeholders to confirm progress is on track. This will require strong communication and organizational skills as well as a working knowledge of the business and the strategic context for the activities you will monitor. You will be responsible for continuous maintenance of the CEO’s email queue as well as other incoming inquiries to ensure that all items are addressed and responded to with appropriate priority. Additionally, you will field ad hoc requests such as performing research and compiling basic documents, presentations, and reports. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a driven, high-potential candidate to advance his/her career. You will work continuously with the executive team, and will be exposed to our most important and strategic activities. In addition to gaining firsthand insight to the street-reality of leading an innovative company, you’ll also develop the needed skills to advance to a variety of leadership positions.
Responsibilities
* Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction * Compile and distribute meeting notes * Coordinate the execution of initiatives * Prepare reports, documents * Compile research * Assess emails and other inquiries directed to the CEO, determine the proper course of action, and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage * Ensure all senior executive issues uncovered are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolved
Ideal Candidate
* Impeccable listening and communication skills: This job will require you to communicate complex ideas concisely, clearly, and simply. You will have to deeply understand complex, multi-faceted issues and illustrate your empathic understanding of each stakeholder’s point of view before driving your agenda. * Organizational and project management: While this role is not a project management role, it does require very high level organizational skills and would benefit greatly from project management experience. * Familiarity with financial reporting: Basic familiarity with finance and accounting principles are required. * Experience interacting with executives: You will be in constant interaction with internal and external executives. You must be comfortable and confident in that environment. * Assertive and driven: You must be comfortable holding your ground and driving toward the goals you are assigned. * “Figure it out” intelligence: You will encounter complex, data-poor situations and be expected to “figure it out”. Raw intelligence is a requirement, but it’s not enough to have a high I.Q. You must be able to use your intellect to determine how you will proceed even when the path forward is uncertain. * Integrity and discretion: Our company is extremely transparent. Yet, there is a portion of what you will be exposed to that cannot be shared externally. Your adherence to rules of confidentiality must be absolute. * Stamina: Kasasa values work-life balance; however, this role may require periods of intense effort and long hours from time to time. Your flexibility and willingness to work early or late as needed is part of the job, and we will never abuse it. * No company politics: To succeed in this role, you must trust and be trusted by the executive team and employees throughout the company. Even the perception of playing company politics will result in termination. * Resilience under pressure: As an “in the trenches” partner to the CEO you will be exposed to the pressure associated with the role. It is important that you are capable of viewing challenging situations as exciting, new experiences that “make the game more fun to play”. If high-stress environments drain your energy, this is not a job for you. * Document prep: You must be able to prepare quality, error-free reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents. * Culture fit: Our culture is extremely important to us. There is no place where these values must be more tightly adhered to than the office of the CEO. Please read about our Patch Values before you apply. Please only apply if, after reading our values, you believe these values represent your natural orientation (not something you’ll have to “work” to embody). Seriously, please do not apply unless you are certain these values reflect your “natural” personal values (you’ll be wasting your own time and ours). * MBA or similar preferred * Project management certification preferred * Leadership, organizational behavior training preferred * Knowledge of the community banking, credit union, and/or fintech industries preferred
