Material Coordinator of Stockroom

KARL STORZ Imaging in Goleta, CA designs develops manufactures and services advanced video imaging systems and accessories.

The primary responsibility of this position is receipt, put away, picking and delivery of materials to operation areas.

* Displays a high degree of teamwork, including completion of co-workers’ tasks. On occasion, will work in other departments. * Monitors and reports on defects and abnormalities in quality and delivery. * Participates in daily 5S activities. * Follows SOP’s and other standards. * Aware of practices and processes utilizing current management tools. * Receive, label and put away materials. * Pick product always following FIFO (First-in-First-Out) logic. * Reorder materials from suppliers by triggering supplier kanban cards when inventory reaches the trigger point. * Pick up replenishment cards while delivering components to operations per agreed upon delivery schedule. * Expedites delivery of critical items to the operations floor. * Perform cycle counts. * Completes necessary SAP transactions. * Works with stock room lead to resolve inventory discrepancies. * In compliance with established procedures, the position requires the completion of all tracking, inventory, processing, and safety documentation. * Takes appropriate actions to address any defects. * Records areas of material waste and other activities that add costs to operations and shares that information with department managers.

* Minimum of 3 year prior experience in inventory control or related field. * High school graduate or equivalent. * Ability to read, understand, and apply the information contained in written procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). * Has knowledge of and is able to perform all jobs within area of oversight. * Computer literacy and experience with all in-house applications. (i.e.,SAP,Word,Excel) is desired.
