Technical Writer

Kargo is looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of users working in the Kargo platform. You will work with a team of talented marketers, designers, developers, quality engineers, and product managers to make our products easier to use.

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements, keep up to date with product status and feature enhancements
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Create compelling content that helps users in developing expertise with the Kargo platform
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS and 3+ years of experience writing and delivering compelling documentation for complex software
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• A technical background or a strong knack for quickly learning complex technical concepts
• Excellent written skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Wordpress or similar CMS
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
• Experience in Markdown, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other Web technologies
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Sketch
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with other digital content vehicles, such as video tutorials, webinars, podcasts, etc.
