Unity Engineer

Kabam, Inc. (“Kabam”) creates, develops, and publishes massively multiplayer games that are available to a global audience on mobile devices via its own dedicated channel in the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore.

Do you possess strong technical background with a high degree of appreciation with game design? Are you laser focused on details yet think beyond the current state? If so, we’re looking for someone like you to join our team as a Unity Engineer.

• Ideate, architect, and implement custom Unity frameworks for game studio projects.
• Work within a central technical team to continue to push forward our existing Unity based frameworks.
• Collaborate with other programmers on client/server integration and API specifications.
• Act upon feedback from stakeholders to refine and hone features.
• Work closely with producers, designers and other programmers in a highly collaborative agile environment.

Career Progression:

• This role is a mid-level to senior-level position. The candidate who excels in this position will find a more integral role on the Central Tech Team.

Education:

• CS Degree or equivalent work experience

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of the Unity Game Engine/Framework and C#
• Strong understanding of the mobile development and best practices
• 3+ years of experience in similar capacity, preferable in game industry
• Knowledge of back-end server languages such as Node.js
• Understanding of both relational and nonrelational databases
• Up-to-date understanding of the latest mobile gaming trends
• Familiarity with mobile free-to-play games and mobile best practices
• Proven track record to working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

Pluses:

• Native iOS/Android development experience
• Node.js and MongoDB experience
• Knowledge of the Unity Source Code
• Passion for games of all sorts is a big plus!
