Full Stack Engineer

JW Player is looking for a talented full-stack Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in our New York City headquarters. As a member of the Platform Team, you will be joining a small, collaborative team responsible for our internal and user-facing dashboards, our eCommerce and direct-sold payments systems, and our internal user account management APIs. This role will report to the Platform Team development manager.

• Work as part of a scrum team in an agile environment
• Build and maintain the Platform architecture, from our static Angular frontend through to our RESTful Python API
• Develop new commercial features from our Product Backlog
• Prototype new ideas and explore new solutions to the growing list of challenges the Platform team is responsible for

• Expert-level understanding of Python and JavaScript
• Strong relational database skills (MySQL a plus)
• Smart, and able to get things done
• BS in Computer Science or related field

Bonus Points

• Experience with data-binding JavaScript frameworks (we use Angular.js)
• Familiarity building eCommerce platforms
• Comfortable in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Continuous delivery, test automation
