Accounting Intern

As an Accounting Intern, you’ll work closely with the Finance team to assist in the monthly Financial Close Process. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain insight to the inner workings of a fast-growing start-up. You will also be able to hone and apply your accounting knowledge while gaining valuable experience working alongside the Director of Finance and Finance Analyst. This job requires a person with great attention to detail, diligence, patience, excellent people skills as well as grit.

• Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
• Reconcile bank statements
• Responsible for the timely recording and payment of Accounts Payable
• Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited local University, with a major in Accounting. Junior or Senior level, with a current GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Previous experience with accounting software is a plus.
