Responsibilities
This position serves as lead producer for special projects, performances and events as assigned (including the biennial gala), and supports the Chief of Staff with ongoing and newly-developed programs and projects. Responsibilities - Produce institutional special events and performances including: - Biennial fundraising Gala - Memorials and Celebrations for key stakeholders (i.e. birthdays, faculty milestones, retirements, etc.) - Performance/artistic elements of all development, internal, or external events - Juilliard First Look series - Festival Programming - Other programing and new initiatives for the Artistic Strategy Committee - Juilliard Master Class series (including live-streamed classes) - Large-scale performances and programs including commissions - Special requests by key stakeholders of the School (including guest artists, workshops, space rentals, etc.) - Serve as School’s producer and/or primary liaison for collaborative projects, performances or events with external constituents (including Lincoln Center Inc.) - Manage and facilitate requests for performance spaces, working closely with the President, Dean’s Office and Chief of Staff to collect, prioritize and implement strategically-minded season programming and space allocation - Work closely with the Chief of Staff to develop, implement and manage new initiatives, programs and projects for the Office of the President - Work closely with the Chief of Staff and other members of the Office of the President on daily administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree - Minimum 3 years working with prominent artists at the highest level (including directors, conductors, performers, agents, educators) - Experience producing large scale events and/or performances - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in very busy environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook - Ability to maintain a professional demeanor - Strong decision making and leadership skills - Ability to work collaboratively as part of and in a team setting - Ability to work well independently to meet multiple deadlines - Ability to interact and communicate well with people of various backgrounds
