Responsibilities
As an Application Developer, you will support the development of the investment initiatives and the ongoing enhancement of Global Fund Accounting Technology's applications. Primary activities include deployment and configuration of enterprise level vendor software packages as well as development and deployment of "home-grown" tools and interfaces. Qualified candidates should have application development and/or support experience, active participation in both long and short term project delivery, a proven track record of delivering multiple workstreams simultaneously, and a understanding of risk management and application security. As part of the JPMC Technology Group you will need to adhere to the stated purpose, tasks, milestones, budgets, and measures of success to ensure delivery of a quality product and ensure applicable audit and information risk policies are followed along the way. This position is part of a collaborative team and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This Mainframe Application Developer position is on a team that partners with an Operations group to provide retirement account payments for JP Morgan customers. This service provides both installment payments to retirees as well as checks for people who chose to cash out or rollover their retirement accounts. The application is a vendor provided package that JP Morgan has customized to meet its needs. The application has Web-Based, Desktop GUI, and Mainframe components. This position supports the Mainframe aspects of the system, which is COBOL, VSAM, and CICS based.
Ideal Candidate
* Proficiency in COBOL, VSAM, CICS, and JCL, with the ability to deliver high quality code on schedule. * Proficiency using tools such as File-AID, SDSF, and Xpeditor. * Proficiency in debugging skills. * Proficiency with analysis and problem solving skills. * Ability to design and execute Unit Test Plans and Cases. * Experience with CA-7 is a plus. * Experience interfacing with client server technology using TCPIP is a plus. * Experience with Citrix is a plus. **Desirable:** * Knowledge of Omnipay products. * Experience in the Banking Industry. * Experience with Qualified and non-qualified pension plans or payroll systems. * Experience supporting vendor provided systems that have been customized. * Experience with Production Support and Application Development being separate teams. * Working with external clients. * Working with teams in diverse geographical locations (world-wide).
