Summary

The Senior Risk Analyst will be responsible for developing governance and integrating projects related to financial and business risk. These projects will primarily support business processes and integration of risk management and control enhancements throughout the business environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization in order to provide meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Maximize compliance effectiveness by leading and/or providing support for several transformational projects in areas including policies and procedures, internal controls and risk management
  • Lead annual Insurance renewal process and provide claim and other accounting support on an as needed basis, including workers compensation claim analysis
  • Take leadership role on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Steering Committee to support the development and integration of a governance process for ERM to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's operational and strategic risk
  • Develop framework for an internal controls structure for the “right” controls within Johnsonville
  • Prepare incentive compensation analysis and accounting support
  • Offer policy leadership on technical accounting matters on an as needed basis
Ideal Candidate

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years public accounting experience or six (6) years industry experience in a related role required
  • Internal audit and/or project management experience desirable

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel, less than 10%
