Summary
The Scientist will work closely with senior scientists within the group to support discovery project teams which may include data presentation in team meetings, monitoring DMPK CROs, design in vivo DMPK studies, data management and presentation. The Scientist will have experience in developing and conducting in vitro ADME assays and familiarity with quantitative bioanalysis to support development of novel small molecule therapeutics.
Responsibilities
* Expertise in conducting in vitro ADME assays that include stability assays in variety of biological matrices, in vitro metabolic stability assays using primary or derived cell lines or other biological matrices, Cytochrome P450 inhibition , induction and phenotyping assays, protein binding assays, drug transporter assays * Track record of handling and maintaining cell cultures (primary and derived cell lines) * Experience with metabolite profiling, identification and/or quantification * Technical expertise in bioanalysis using LC-MS/MS * Hands-on laboratory work, including managing/coordinating daily lab activities. * Conducting and optimizing in vitro ADME assays, cell culture. * Developing assays and bioanalytical LC-MS/MS methods for the quantitative analysis of small molecules. * Quantitating drug concentrations in various biological matrices. * Manage outsourcing activities * Management of DMPK lab * Data integration and report writing.
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of a PhD in related scientific field with less than one year experience is required. * Hands on knowledge of in vitro DMPK assays is also required * Experience with cell culture is required * Experience in developing LC-MS/MS methods is desirable * Knowledge of in vivo pharmacokinetic analysis is preferred * Good organizational, record keeping, presentation and communication skills is required * The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask is also required.
