Summary
John Deere Construction & Forestry Division, located in Dubuque, IA is seeking an Electrical Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) Engineer. We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
* Developing verification plans for electrical components, sub-systems, & systems. * Executing test or analysis plan for product verification and validation. * Participating on internal teams to drive methodology and efficiency improvements. * Providing problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production * Participating on PDP (Product Delivery Process) teams as the Electrical Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) representative, ensuring PV&V activities and plans are formulated and followed. * Engaging in applying PV&V tools on PDP teams. * Encouraging early interaction of both customer and supplier input to team activities. * Participating in print reviews and design reviews of new products.
Ideal Candidate
* Engineering experience obtained through projects, internships or practical work experience. * Excellent communication skills and leadership potential. * Ability to work with suppliers in the application of electronic components. * Understanding of serial communications. * Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestic and internationally-valid passport required). A strong candidate will also have: * 2+ years of Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work for a defined portion of a project. * Experience in product verification and validation work. * Knowledge of environmental verification testing. * Good knowledge of electrical wire harness circuits and routing. * Good knowledge of electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, and connectors. * Ability to write concise test reports. * Understanding of CAN communication. * EMC experience.
