Responsibilities
* Freight receiving, processing, and stocking functions. * Maintaining store appearance, product presentation, and compliance with Company standards. Does this through effective “control” of back room inventory in order to insure that the sales floor SOP’s are never affected as a result of inventory flow. * Reviewing scheduled inbound product flow and daily schedules to ensure workload coverage. Anticipates weather conditions and holiday schedule changes in order to ensure that proper receiving is scheduled. * Maintaining and adjusting proper staffing levels on all scheduled shifts in partnership with store leaders (MOD) and modifying delivery schedule changes. * Training team members to execute all activities at required production levels. * Consulting with store leaders (MOD) regarding inventory discrepancy and product flow issues. * Monitoring team member work practices and provides corrective action in partnership with Store Manager when necessary. * Following company procedures and notification processes. * Annual physical inventory of the store - sales floor and back room. * Meeting or beating financially budgeted shrink expectations.
Ideal Candidate
* Be 18 years or older and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree preferred. * Successfully pass a background check. * Have 2-3 years of related retail experience and prior experience in merchandise receiving, handling, and stocking in a retail, warehouse or distribution environment. * Be proficient in the use of computers including basic knowledge of POS system and Windows-based computer applications. * Be available to work a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Have a willingness to learn and develop fabric and craft product knowledge.
