Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for keying and processing accurate payrolls. Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner. Manage and maintain assigned client base and deliver a high degree of customer service. Research and respond to all internal communications in a timely manner. Specialist will be responsible for handling confidential information.

• Responsible for payroll for all clients to include:
• Enters new employee data into system
• Obtain status change documents for employees and clients
• Compute and process timesheets based on wage and salary guidelines
• Computes and disperses wages and salaries, deductions, taxes and other withholdings
• Coordinates all court ordered deductions, child support garnishments, levies etc.
• Posts payroll data and prepares routine reports
• Coordinates statement messages and payroll stuffers
• Calculates and processes special checks, reviews, edits and makes corrections and adjustments as needed
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with all key contacts including internal personnel
• Children and Families employment verification

• High School or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years payroll experience
• HRP software experience A MUST

Preferred:

• Some college with accounting courses
• 2 years PEO Payroll experience
• Payroll Certification preferred but can be substituted for relevant work experience
