SolidWorks Designer

Our company was founded by Juliana Harrison in Pittsburgh in 1996 as JH Technical Services, to help engineering firms meet their short-term project needs by matching them with qualified temporary drafters and engineers. The Harrison family had a strong background in engineering, human resources, staffing and law.

An established manufacturing company, located just north of Pittsburgh, is seeking a contract SolidWorks Designer.

• Responsible for creating custom 3D production drawings from customers’ models using SolidWorks software.
• Review data to confirm accuracy and/or make necessary changes to the models and drawings, prior to fabrication.

• AS Degree in Drafting/Design with a minimum of 2 years of related 3D mechanical design experience
• Must be well-versed with SolidWorks software; AutoCAD experience is a plus, but not required
• Any sheet metal experience is preferred
• Must be comfortable working in both office and manufacturing settings
• Good computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel
