Digital Designer

(27-01 Queens Plaza N)The Digital Designer assists in the development and production of our online web presence and branding. The Digital Designer is responsible for creating bold, clean, innovative designs and providing creative and technical support to projects in collaboration with the Brand Design Manager for multiple web-based media. The Designer maintains existing functionality and coordinates with business partners to support JetBlue email and jetblue.com. This role will also work closely with the copywriter, print designers, developers, programmers and internal marketing teams.

Support cross-functional teams on multiple digital channels providing strategic designs and articulating a creative approach

Work with Email Manager and jetblue.com Manager on the set-up and deployment of online campaigns

Manage creative briefs and able to manage his/her own projects and timelines

Detail oriented and understand branding

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Five (5) years in a corporate design environment

Has an amazing digital portfolio showcasing responsive, web/tablet and mobile design

Solid understanding of responsive design and UX
-
Understanding of web typography and typography in general
-
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
-
Basic programming skills, including CSS, JavaScript, and HTML5
-
Strong design aesthetic including a strong sense of typography
-
Able to work both independently and as a team member
-
Solid email experience designing hero spots, banners, headers and other online assets

Available for moderate overnight travel (15%)

Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice

Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
-
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
