Summary
The Cause Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the management and execution of the company’s philanthropic cause marketing programs. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Cause Marketing, and plays a critical role in our departmental mission to make our brand and communities stronger through focused, creative and visible philanthropy. Works with internal and external partners on philanthropic programs aligned to company goals and Philanthropy’s focus on after school/out-of-school programs. Aligns with the work of all teams in Philanthropy as well as the overall brand Marketing department. The position reports to Sr Manager Cause Marketing.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with internal partners to ensure participation, support and success of our philanthropic programs. * Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders (non-profit organizations and partners) to ensure participation, support and success of our philanthropic initiatives). * Manage all internal communications including, but not limited to our point of sale fundraising promotions, marketing integrations and events. * Manage communications for cause marketing programs; partner day to day, contracts, proposals and working closely with team on all needs as it relates to the success of customer facing programs. * Develop appropriate reports, evaluations, and data gathering on programs, partnerships, strategies, messaging, lessons learned and successes. * Stay in the know on all things as they relate to company’s main area of focus. * Provide outside services support, where needed. * Participate in project work and perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree required. * 2-3 years of experience in cause marketing, marketing, philanthropy, communications, or nonprofit management; corporate experience preferred. * Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility program development and reporting. * Demonstrated interest in social, community and nonprofit issues. * Familiarity with nonprofit management and public sector organization preferred. * Keen sense and commitment to ethics, integrity, and diversity. * Strong ability to organize, prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment. * Prefer some public speaking experience. * Ability to lead small to medium-sized group discussions. * Ability to resolve complex issues in creative ways. * Good communications skills, written and verbal. * Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to liaise effectively across the organization and various departments
