Purpose & Scope: Responsible for financial analysis and reporting at the plant
- Assist with preparation of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Compare performance with operating plans and standards. Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to various plant personnel.. This includes assistance with the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required
- Month End closing, journal entry preparation and entry, accruals and expense analysis.
- Analyze revenue and costs to explain cost components and variances.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed annual financial budgets
- Provide financial analysis support to plant operations.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and track various fringe benefit liability accounts.
- Complete weekly Customer pricing as well as maintain the Accrual and Buy down promotional data.
- Track and report material waste, supply usage, and other consumable expenses. Maintain oversight of Utility expense tracking and various Regulatory reports required for waste water reporting..
- Accounting Coordinator for physical inventories counts, reporting and auditing, including Chep pallet counts and vendor reporting.
- Purchase Order receipts and packaging materials inventory assistance.
- Maintain records and tracking of Capital expenditures and asset records.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments to problem solve and establish action plans to achieve targeted results
- Ensure optimum performance of the function. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies and ensure effective controls
Education: B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experienced with manufacturing cost accounting principles and cost accounting systems is a plus
- Experience with SAP desired (FICO, MM,PRD, APO)
- Knowledgeable of AR/AP and inventory systems
Special Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills and strong computer aptitude with exposure to AS400 bases systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication.
