Global designer and manufacturer of leading brands seeks Director of Operations for its men's division, based in New York. Director of Operations will plan, organize, and direct day to day operational activities.
- Responsible for the supply chain management to include logistics, warehousing, EDI management and administration.
- Key responsibilities include reviewing financial statements and running reports, supply chain management and operations oversight.
Financial:
- Review financial statements and reports.
- Utilize financial data to improve profitability and increase efficiency.
- Prepare and control operational budgets.
- Control inventory.
- Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the department.
- Compiles and reviews monthly forecasting information for men's division.
- Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc management reports.
Supply Chain Management:
- Responsible for all aspects of Supply chain management including planning, logistics, customer service, inventory & warehouse.
- Oversee activities directly related to logistic and 3PL.
Operations/Administration:
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
- Implement and manage operational plans.
- Evaluate division operations and implement procedures to enhance daily operations.
- Assumes responsibility for reviewing all operating unit invoices/expenditures to ensure accuracy, before submission of approval to VP.
- Manages all information system needs/projects; work with the IT team to implement new tools and systems to increase the efficiency of the division.
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of the division.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
- Improve processes and procedures in support of organizational goals.
- Formulate and implement departmental and to maximize output.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
- Assign tasks, objectives and the like to subordinates, and through coaching, performance evaluation, and feedback, assist those subordinates in performing their duties and achieving their objectives
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
- 10+ years experience in fashion industry with at least 5 years of operation management experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Basic import/export knowledge.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
