Summary
The eCommerce Merchandising Associate will be responsible for supporting eCommerce DTC merchandising strategy and execution across multiple brands/divisions. The ideal candidate should have eCommerce merchandising or buying exposure with a blend of analytical and creative skills. This role requires partnerships with several cross-functional teams including Brand, Marketing, and Trade teams to come up with new strategies for growing the direct eCommerce business across all brands. Responsibilities
* Supporting the development of eCommerce direct to consumer merchandising function across Newell eCommerce websites and brands * Assist in merchandising strategy and execution on DTC websites meeting revenue and margin goals and other web KPIs * Support the execution of merchandising calendar across the portfolio of brands * Create new selling strategies and models (subscriptions, bundles, exclusives, custom products etc.) for DTC to grow revenues by creating differentiation for DTC channel * Assist in overseeing the assortment and work with planning teams and operations to ensure inventory coverage * Partner on promotions strategy for direct eCommerce business by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Assist in creating innovative promotions to exponentially grow the business. * Assist in the creation of customer retention strategies by coming up with new initiatives to increase repeat purchases through the direct channel and to increase consumer engagement and stickiness with the DTC websites * Ensure eCommerce websites have best in class merchandising capabilities including up-sells, cross sells, enhanced content, etc. * Collaborate with Product Manager, UX team, External Agencies, Marketing, and Brand teams to ensure that the front end meets eCommerce merchandising needs * Support new product launches on the DTC websites and provide expert guidance to cross functional teams on how to leverage eCommerce direct channel for these campaigns * Collaborate with Digital Shelf team in creating content for DTC websites that will be increase conversion * Measure and analyze consumer adoption of site merchandising strategies and iterate to increase revenue and conversion * Partner with pricing team to create Pricing strategy for direct eCommerce business across multiple brands ensuring that the business goals are met and there is no channel conflict with indirect channel * Collaborate with cross functional partners within eCommerce division and across larger enterprise to achieve buy-in and alignment on variou
Ideal Candidate
* 2-5 years of experience working in eCommerce in a Merchandising function for a large retailer or CPG company preferred * Ability to both work in startup like environments and within a large matrixed organization * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels * Strong analytical skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong business acumen * Ability to learn, understand and converse around key business issues * Trusted team player with a proven track record of achievement * Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and development strategies * Must be organized and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills * Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges * Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised * Strong passion for both speed and simplicity * Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with multiple levels and functional areas * Detail-oriented and operationally-focused * Strong organizaitonal skills * Takes initiative & brings impeccable follow-up skills * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and assignments simultaneously. **Educational Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
