Our web development team will be responsible for bridging the gap between our design, UX, and programming teams. We’re looking for an expert in these technologies to help us scale faster with more design consistency.
Through the translation of mock ups / wire-frames into scalable / maintainable coding patterns across our websites, you will work closely with designers and developers to maintain the company’s visual web standards and performance requirements.
- Working on(owning) our Marketing projects: Landing pages, emails, blog posts, banners
- Advanced CSS/HTML: you know what’s available, what’s coming, and what’s deprecated; you know what’s fast, what’s slow, and how to organize it, including code re-use, components; finally, you know your web standards (accessibility, SEO, and browser support)
- Be in charge of building all of the tooling for Email Marketing Manager to segment users for email and push notifications, manage drips, a/b test emails (daily and other marketing emails), manage templates, show email test results (reporting), etc.
- Maintainability: experience with growing projects, code re-usability, and componentization
- Practical skills: you can translate a design into a pixel-perfect web experience, but know when to push back and defend the user’s experience
- Update and manage website blog
- Experience with Mobile/Tablet devices, including responsive/adaptive design
- Atomic design and related topics/technologies
- 3+ years of CSS/HTML word press development experience
- Skilled with CSS and HTML, including the ability to code from scratch without a framework, and a focus on code re-usability, performance and faithfulness to design
Bonus Points:
- A Creative/Design background with an instinct for UI/UX
- Sketch/Photoshop/Illustrator skills
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with other programming languages
- Experience with Git/Github
- Experience working on large, complex, enterprise level sites, with multiple “skins” for the same markup
