Summary
Apply your building and product installation expertise knowledge as you work with our sales team in New Orlean, LA. As our Technical Sales Specialist, you'll provide technical support to the builders, installers, and dealers in the territory as you showcase your background in siding installation through product knowledge sessions and information sharing. You will interface with customer operation from the Director of Construction (DOC) level to contractors and installation crews in the field where you will conduct needs assessments and provide solutions to meet the needs of the customer. The Technical Sales Specialist’s primary role is to facilitate the sales forces ability to convert competitive product by finding technical solutions, identifying and removing install related obstacles, increasing alignment across the install community and proving a high quality and competitive cost installation base for the application of Company products. The incumbent’s primary customers are local siding and framing companies/contractors.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Technical Resource to the sales organization to facilitate conversion of competitive products and defend current market share - Provides training and education for installation crews on the Company's best practices through organized product installation trainings. - Provides competitive market advantage opportunities to installation companies to ensure quality efficiencies and Company best practices guidelines. - Creates capacity in excess of demand based on install production and territory growth
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** - Extensive knowledge of building practices in both residential and commercial segments - Ability to retain builder attention and take charge of building sites based on respect and installation mastery. - Demonstrated knowledge regarding the use of tools and practices of siding applications; - Proven presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. - Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. - Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals. - Demonstrated ability in problem solving (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely basis) and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale. - Ability to communicate and work with cross functional teams and all levels in the organization. - Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion. **Education/Experience:** - Bachelor's Degree - 8 or more years of experience in commercial or residential building industry (multi-family design and architectural experience preferred.) - 3 or more years of experience in the construction industry (drafting, architectural, siding business owner; siding or carpentry site foreman/superintendent; home builder site superintendent).
