Summary

This position will support a Project Team to design, test and optimize equipment and process to produce composite extrusion products.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design in CAD, equipment and process used for manufacturing composite extrusion products
  • Use FEA/CFD in the design and optimization of polymeric composite flow through extrusion die, with understanding of both heat transfer and composite temperature profiles
  • Lead development trials, making changes to designs when necessary
  • Work with outside manufacturers to procure the required equipment
  • Supervise installation and commission of equipment and processes
  • Develop new processes to improve capability and reliability
  • Establish optimum design and process conditions
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years Capital Project Management in composite extrusion and/or related industries
  • Minimum 5 years experience in process and equipment design
