Summary
The Programmer Analyst’s role is to design, develop and deploy efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. The Programmer Analyst will develop custom process flows, develop and customize forms, investigate and resolve data issues, collaborate with the hosting vendor on scheduling and completing technical tasks. The Programmer Analyst will also elicit, document, and modify software requirements and specifications throughout the software system life cycle. The Programmer Analyst is also responsible for investigating application issues and generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
Responsibilities
* Ability to identify, document and analyze user requirements and business processes and design solutions. This work is done under minimal supervision with guidance from management * Ability to query and export data; analyze and resolve data issues * Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and presentation skills * Ability to understand and effectively communicate business and technical objectives as they relate to project goals * Proficiency in at least two programming languages and a detailed understanding of the associated development best practices and coding methodologies * Ability to work and provide deliverables within an established software development life cycle or application life cycle. * Ability to write and maintain effective technical documentation and program documentation
Ideal Candidate
* Experience with the implementation, support and operation of Infor Lawson, required. Three or more years preferred * Experience in reviewing the impact of proposed solutions (enhancements) on performance, usability, etc. in Infor Lawson * Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline * At least three years’ work experience and professional responsibility in the documentation and analysis of functional requirements for financial, supply chain and /or human resources business functions. Solutions should include applications with medium to major complexity and those with cross-functional scope
