Field Supervisor - Audiovisual Integration

We serve Information Technology firms that are looking to improve or expand their teams in mission-critical functions, where the success of the firm is highly dependent on the quality of certain hires. Many of these roles have direct revenue impact, whether in direct or channel sales capacities, pre-sales engineering, or marketing, or in post-sales customer-facing responsibilities.

Our client, a leading provider in audiovisual systems and solutions, is seeking a Field Supervisor in the Chicago Metro region. This positions involves oversight of entire projects from beginning to end.

• Test, install, and configure the following audiovisal/videoconferencing equipment, microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards
• Interpret system drawings for technical tasks
• Supervise team throughout build and installation
• Work with HVAC, cable, pipe, etc. design plans and installation
• Evaluate and ensure all installations maintain best practice and our client' s standards
• Identify all technical escalations
• Test and install the following mounted equipment
  • Wall mounted monitors
  • Ceiling mounted projectors
  • Projection screens
  • Speakers
  • Wall mounted AV connection plates
• Additional duties will be integrated with existing responsibilities over time

• 5+ years experience with relevant field implementation
• Must be comfortable with audiovisual and HVAC/cabling components
• Knowledge of fiber, cables, conduits, HVAC, ladder racks, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of structural, equipment, and safety requirements and considerations
• Desirable work experience includes field engineering lead responsibility/project charge responsibility
• Troubleshooting/IT experience strongly preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Valid driver' s license required
• Ability to function both independently and within a team
