Summary
Profitable and growing Insurance company is seeking a .NET Developer for their Austin operation. Candidates will be responsible for development of complex systems in a team environment. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
* Assist the lead role in technologically complex situations * Set, update, follow and assist others concerning architectural standards, procedures, and system parameters * Communicate effectively between organizations * Organize and structure responsibilities within time constraints * Develop excellent working relationships with peers and customers * Demonstrate expertise in project leadership, business concepts, and development methodologies * Deliver excellent customer service
Ideal Candidate
* Associate or Technical degree required or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Bachelor's Degree is preferred * 2+ years of related experience (4+ preferred) * Experience in a Property and Casualty Insurance environment is highly preferred * Experience in software development utilizing the following: * Languages: C#.NET, VB.NET, Java * Frameworks, Foundations, Patterns: .NET Framework 4.0 or higher, WPF, MVVM, Winforms * Application Servers: Internet Information Services (IIS) * IDEs: Visual Studio 2010 or higher * Database/Tools: SQL Server, SSMS * Experience working with development teams in C#.NET and Java is important. * Demonstrated experience developing high performance user interfaces * Demonstrated knowledge of technical methodologies including project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall), change management, source control, etc. * Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills to resolve complex design issues * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Document management experience preferred.
