Summary
Technical design and support for Supply Chain applications. Provide technical support for daily issues, break fix, change requests as well as implementation of enhancements and to support changes in the business. Work with Business, IT and PMO teams to insure requirements and system development goals are successfully achieved.
Responsibilities
- Must possess strong diagnostic, troubleshooting skills - Provide technical support for application written in advanced SQL languages (macros, user defined functions, OLAP functions), Unix and Java scripts, browser based GUI applications ; address daily issues, break fix, change requests, implementation of enhancements, additional functionality - Understand the flow and integration of data and information through multiple systems - Thoroughly research issues to identify root cause, communicate status with appropriate sense of urgency, follow through with agreed upon resolution - Analyze and document technical requirements to insure all solutions successfully address business and system requirements in fully integrated manner - Perform unit testing; support QA resources where needed - Responsible for change management in conjunction with changes, enhancements and new functionality implementation - Communicate regularly management and peers regarding progress, status, issues and critical decisions; call out risks - Prepare documentation on system feeds, mapping, settings - Establish and manage relationships with system vendors to encourage partnership and maximize quality of support; log incidents to be investigated by vendor - Stay current regarding relevant tools (software packages, devices, etc.) available on the market; attend training classes or review documentation to learn relevant systems
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree mandatory; degree in Supply Chain or Computer Engineering preferred - Experience in, knowledge of Retail industry preferred - Experience in development, execution and maintenance of software; experience with Supply Chain software application preferred - Experience in application development, troubleshooting in MS-Windows, JAVA, UNIX/LINUX based client server architecture applications, , Web-based GUI, SQL, Stored Procedure, Macro, advanced HTML, ASP, Javascript, UNIX scripting, C, C preprocessor - Strong understanding of n-tier architecture theory and practice - Strong technical background in Unix shell scripts, SQL coding and SQL tuning - Knowledge of database connectivity tools, such as CLI and ODBC configuration - Knowledge of Data Warehouse tools (OLAP, Data Modeling & Data Transformation tools) - Experience writing ETLs - Experience with PLM systems - Experience with Oracle or Teradata database and tools preferred - Experience in implementation and support of multiple applications as well as integration between applications - Understanding of the Operations of a large scale organization **Skills:** - Self motivated, analytical, strong aptitude for problem solving, learning, results oriented, - Establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of Business and within IT - Assume accountability for the success of all projects managed by your team - Ability to report on progress, status, issues tailored appropriately to all levels; ability to communicate with technical, non-technical, peer and senior management audiences - Ability to work in and shift priorities in fast paced, dynamic environment - Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team Strong verbal, presentation, written communication skills
