SVG Illustrator

IXL Learning is looking for a creative, talented illustrator with expertise creating and editing SVG files. As an Illustrator for IXL, you will work closely with the user interface design team and product management team to create illustrations and interactive diagrams for IXL.com. The primary audience is students in grades K-12. This is a remote contract position.

- Interpret project requirements and specifications to create illustrations and interactive diagrams for use in math, science, social studies, and language arts problems - Edit and improve existing illustrations - Collaborate with software engineers to ensure SVG files meet technical specifications

- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and SVGs - Experience working with SVGs both in Illustrator and as plain text - Quick sketching ability - Solid foundation in color, lighting, form, concept, composition, and basic illustration techniques - Ability to identify and define visual design issues and solutions, and to incorporate feedback from members of the design, product management, and software engineering teams - Strong attention to detail - Ability to communicate visually, verbally, and in writing - Ability to copy and interpret other illustrators' styles
