Ramp Supervisor

The Ramp Supervisor is a hands-on supervisor that assists in servicing the needs of the customer while ensuring the safety of the terminal, and maintaining high productivity. Responsible for ensuring that ITS meets the customer’s scheduling requirements with on-time unloading of trains. Manages the workforce to meet customer needs as well as profitability goals. Expected to work in a fast-paced environment where using superior management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

* Responsible for assisting in the entire ramp operations including: safety, administration, maintenance, and productivity * Responsible for the training and orientation of all employees and ensures that every employee has the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to perform each task assigned * Responsible for problem solving with local railroad officers * Responsible for the staffing of all ramp employees * Enforces and upholds all ITS rules, regulations and policies, issues all disciplinary action * Responsible for all administrative tasks related to ramp management

* 1-3 years of previous management experience * Must have exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills * Excellent Verbal and written communication skills * Experience in intermodal, transportation, logistics or warehousing operations * Strong Work Ethic * Able to work outside in all weather conditions * Abillity to work with and analyze excel spreadsheets
