Senior Network Automation Engineer

Itential is looking for senior software engineers that want to develop customer-specific applications within our Pronghorn application platform. Pronghorn is a MEAN-stack platform that allows our teams and our customers to develop applications that automate their telecommunications networks. You will use your JavaScript and full-stack development skills to design and develop new applications within an Agile team focused on delivering customer requirements. As a senior engineer, the perfect candidate has a deep background in enterprise and telecommunications networking, and is passionate about next-generation networking concepts like SDN, NFV, and reducing the burden of OSS/BSS bloat. * Act as the Lead Engineer on projects for Tier 1 Telecommunications and Service providers * Work directly with pre-sales engineers to manage customer requirements * Develop and maintain customer applications within our Pronghorn Application Platform * Advise and mentor a team of junior software developers * Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards * Ensure that your code is tested, robust, and secure

**Qualifications and Skills** * Experience using technologies and frameworks in the MEAN/MERN stack * Design and development skill – specific examples necessary * Knowledge of consuming and creating APIs * Understanding of Agile development methodologies * Comfortable using Linux/*nix CLI **Desirable Skills** * OSS, telecommunications, and networking experience is highly favored * Experience building and deploying cloud-based applications (OpenStack, AWS) * Knowledge of SDN controllers (OpenDaylight, ONOS) * Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
