Summary
The Spa Receptionist is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for the Spa. They must be able to speak clearly, communicate with all types of people, including VIPs, dignitaries and celebrities. The Spa Receptionist must maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, other employees and management staff and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the company.
Responsibilities
* Provide full clerical support, including greeting guests, answering phones, checking reservations, taking messages, making copies and processing the outgoing mail. * Understand and follow the procedures for using credit card machines. * Set up and handle gift certificates. * Requisition and stock office supplies for the reception desk. * Update the daily log and communicate relevant information to the staff. * Ensure guest requests for assistance are answered promptly and handled appropriately in a timely manner. * Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to guests. * Refer guest complaints related to Spa activities or treatments to management staff in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. * Ensure all appropriate staff are informed of guests’ special needs and requests. * Strictly adhere to the company’s lost and found policies and procedures. * Follow all procedures when responding to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to communicate effectively. * Proficiency in a second language preferred. * Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM. * Previous clerical experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment. * Experience working in an environment providing a high level of customer service to guests of high social standing with discretion and professionalism. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner.
