Summary
The Manager, Data Science is integral to the growth and evolution of the Data & Insights team services and methodology. This role works hand-in-hand with senior D&I leadership, Client Services, and Products & Services to identify business needs and opportunities and uncover areas in need of deeper data exploration while at the same time managing and mentoring junior level team members in the same discipline.
Responsibilities
* May serve as a primary D&I representative on a group of assigned accounts * Analyze data to understand how digital marketing channels are performing individually, and in combination * Spearhead efforts to identify trends and opportunities based on marketing performance data from a variety of sources * Lead exploration efforts and innovation of additional advanced analysis and reporting views and tools * Create, analyze and distribute reports related statistical analysis, time analysis, cross channel impact and incremental lift to drive performance and scale for clients * Consult with Client Services and Products & Services teams to share actionable insights, that can be used in planning and optimization efforts * Collaborate with Client Services and Products & Services teams to identify business needs and uncover areas in need of deeper data exploration * Coordinate with other areas of D&I team including attribution, forecasting, analytics, data engineering and tagging/tracking * Stay abreast of industry trends, development and availability of new technologies and tools and maintain a library of this information to share internally on a regular basis
Ideal Candidate
* Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit * Proficient with MS Office with very advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, sumif) * Solid understanding of database structures * Proven track record in statistical modeling including linear and multiple regression modeling, random forest, monte carlo simulation, and cluster analysis * Understanding of digital media and advertising * Intermediate working knowledge of R, Stata, SAS * Ability to communicate complex statistical information to a varied audience in an interesting and visual manner * Minimum 4-yr degree required * 3-5 years’ experience managing others * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, exceptional attention to detail * High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
