Backend Engineer

Ionic is an HTML5 mobile app development framework targeted at building hybrid mobile apps. Hybrid apps are essentially small websites running in a browser shell in an app that have access to the native platform layer. Hybrid apps have many benefits over pure native apps, specifically in terms of platform support, speed of development, and access to 3rd party code.

The Ionic team is looking for a great backend or full-stack engineer to help build the most comprehensive mobile development platform ever. As a Engineer on the Ionic team, you'll be responsible for building and managing our mobile services, including our powerful push, auth, deploy, and a/b testing services. You'll also be responsible for managing account systems, databases, and other backend tools and services.

* Develop and maintain new mobile backend services and tools * Perform periodic database administration * Help scale and monitor our backend services * Work with the Backend team, led up by Eric

* Strong backend development background * Strong database experience * Experience with Python and Django/Flask a major plus * Experience with Node.js a plus * Experience with PostgreSQL a plus * Experience with Mongo, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc. etc. etc. a plus
