Responsibilities
* Manage designated funds and separately managed accounts including UK based funds * Employ investment discipline to manage a portfolio of investments with a goal of achieving relative long-term out performance relative to a designated peer group and a given benchmark. * Optimize long-term investment performance of funds under direct purview as well as team funds in accordance with stated investment objectives and the respective regulatory requirements for which the funds are subject to. * Oversee work of Research Analysts conducting research on companies and industry sectors to understand implications for portfolio decisions. * Develop and maintain investment expertise through building and maintaining effective relationships with brokers, analysts, company management and internal contacts. * Proactively contribute to investment thinking within the department and ensures own best ideas are represented in the Funds. * Make optimal use of available resources, including research, technology and support networks. * Effectively represents the Funds and the business to external and internal clients, thereby making a positive contribution to the Sales and Marketing effort. * Ensure all activities are in line with TCF outcomes. * Utilize experience and knowledge of fund management and the investment process and portfolio risk management. * Collaborate between equity groups in the US and the UIK to share knowledge and build relationships between teams to share ideas and foster collaboration. * Utilize experience with: Bloomberg, Factset, Charles River, Global and International Large Cap Products, and European Small- and Mid-Cap Products.
Ideal Candidate
* Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research or related quantitative discipline. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. * Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or in position with the same duties within the financial services industry working with investment management firms. * Must have 5 years of experience with: utilizing detailed knowledge of fund management and the investment process; portfolio risk management; and managing successful global and international equity portfolios/funds. * Must meet all regulatory requirements to qualify for UK IMC (Investment Management Certificate) and IIMR (institute of Investment Management Research) certifications.
