Staff Software Engineer

We are looking for an eager, self-starting Staff Software Engineer to join our team! As a Staff Software Engineer you will design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications for front-end user software, remote presence endpoint platform software, communication software, web applications, and database systems. Also participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.

* Write technical specifications and requirements based on conceptual design and stated business requirements * Support, maintain, document, and write unit tests for software * Analyze code faults to find root causes of errors and put systems into place to pre-empt similar faults in the future * Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design * Consult with Product Management to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs * Maintain existing code, port it to new platforms * Participate in design and development of new features, products, and utilities * Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. * Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements * Responsible for requirements definition, design reviews, implementation, testing, and initial documentation * Serve as technical resource on development projects * Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment * May consult with senior peers on certain projects

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** * Experience with Windows, Visual Studio and C#, required * Experience with .NET, required * Experience with MVC and Object Oriented Programming * Experience with HTML, CSS * Experience with JavaScript and jQuery * Experience with relational databases required (MS SQL Server, desired) * Experience with source code repositories (Perforce, desired) * Experience with Scrum and agile development **Qualifications** * Moderate skills with high level of proficiency * Typically requires 3 to 10 years of experience * 4 year degree or equivalent * English-language written and spoken communication skills
