Summary
IDG TechNetwork is seeking a Manager of Ad Operations for the IDG TechNetwork. This position will manage a team of Digital Media Strategists, ensuring the full delivery and performance of all digital ads run on the TechNetwork. In addition, this position will manage the real time bidding and purchasing of audiences across trade desks to maximize margins for the company while fulfilling the targeting of the campaign. This position will report to the Director of Business Operations and will work closely with the programmatic operations team, finance team, development team and sales team.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day to day operations of the IDG TechNet AdOps team. * Ensure all campaigns deliver in full and perform well * Work with Sales to help plan successful campaigns * Work in SalesForce.com and other systems to watch and tally revenue on a monthly and weekly basis * Work closely with Finance to ensure terms and conditions are sound on contracts and manage the margin for the business. * Build out reports for executive management concerning delivery by product, revenue, margin, etc. Must have a deep understanding of margin reports and other financial reporting and an extreme attention to detail. * Manage the audience buying side of the business at IDG by working closely with the trade desk vendors we have and ensuring we have the best margin available. * Assist the Publisher Development team in any campaign issues they have. * Support the sales organization where applicable
Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate holds a degree from an accredited university and has at least 2 years’ experience in digital media on the operations side with at least 1 year experience managing a team. The candidate should have experience in audience buying and has worked with at least one major trading desk. The candidate should be well versed in Excel and able to handle multiple accounts at once. He/She should have a deep understanding of programmatic landscape, is able to define terms such as DSP, SSP, RTB, PMP, etc. He/She should have exceptional written and oral skills and should be a very organized individual. Attention to numbers is very important in this role as well as a positive attitude towards tackling problems and troubleshooting.
