Software Engineer Level 2

Our Software Engineers create software solutions by analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. They also: - Participate in the development and preparation of JAVA design specifications - Work with the R&D team leadership or implementation team leadership to meet delivery deadlines as well as maintain/support of existing applications - Provide implementation support - Work closely with Project Leaders to resolve any issues - Follow testing life cycle procedures - Document modifications and changes to program - Recommend improved policies and procedures - Propose software configuration/modification to adapt to business change requirements - Recognize and propose core software improvements

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience - Master’s degree preferred - A minimum of 1 year of JAVA work experience required - Proficiency in JAVA, data architecture, algorithms, relational database design and Oracle, MS, SQL, and DB2 databases is required - Developing highly scalable, distributed, dynamic client server applications is a plus - Experience in Windows Server, Linux and IMB/OS operating systems required - Websphere Application Server and Tomcat Applications Server a plus - Experience in Websphere Development Studio (Development Tool), a plus - Demonstrated experience using problem solving, investigative and troubleshooting skills
