Summary
In this role, the candidate will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on developing software and system solutions for health and life sciences. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software frameworks used to execute Genomics and Imaging workloads as well as develop new algorithms in collaboration with domain experts. The candidate should have a good understanding of parallel processing and other optimization techniques.
Responsibilities
Develops software as the primary job function; Designs, develops, debugs & tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web. May work directly with companies developing and optimizing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies. Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computational Science.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of experience. - 3+ years of proven software development and debug experience - Strong expertise in programming in C/C++, Java, Python and scripting languages such as Perl, in a Linux environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent - Experience in bioinformatics - Expertise in algorithms, statistical methods and machine learning - Good understanding of computer architecture and systems
