FW Engineering Lab Technician

Responsible for technical functions in support of FW development engineering activities such as test, checkout, modifications, validation on specialized platforms. Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data to assist in development work. May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature and work is performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Performing functions associated with unit testing and validation of FW builds. Operating, maintaining and repairing test platforms to ensure systems are always available for FW development and test work. Collecting and evaluating test data to conduct to ensure high quality test results. Undertaking some preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining.

**Basic Qualifications:** * AA/AS or BS degree plus two years of experience in a software/firmware development lab environment. * Software and or Hardware troubleshooting. * Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions. * Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities. * Strong customer service experience. * Ability to produce results in a timely manner. * Self motivated * Analytical problem solving and testing skills. **Qualifications strongly preferred:** * Circuit board and platform assembly experience * Debug experience or failure analysis background * Experience with Python and C# * Experience in computer software and building PC platforms is a must. * Experience with Intel motherboards for Desktop, Mobile or Server would be an added advantage.
