Responsibilities

PRODUCT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  • Manage product roadmap and ensure that products are consistent with customer strategy, have clear vision, goals and metrics to track ROI of product Engage various stakeholders and users in product design to evaluate problem spaces and generate creative and effective solutions
  • Work with operational teams to develop products that support customer strategies
  • Build product features from concept to implementation
  • Write technical requirements

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Outline roles and responsibilities (project governance), project norms and expectations, and communicate to product team members
  • Delegate tasks and ensure accountability and ownership
  • Manage scope, feasibility, dependencies, and resources within projects
  • Assess technical and operational risks through product development cycle
  • Engage with technical team to manage feature sets, sprints, and release
  • Oversee user acceptance testing and training implementation

COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING

  • Plan and communicate release schedules with business owners and team
  • Transfer appropriate product knowledge to departments while offering support and guidance

MANAGEMENT

  • Create best practice processes for team to manage product roadmaps and manage product projects
  • Oversee a team of 5+ product managers to manage portfolio of products
  • Manage professional development of product managers to ensure team is developing appropriate skills
Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years prior experience as a product manager (ideally working at fast growing companies)
  • Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to distill complex business goals into simple features
  • Direct experience with healthcare industry
  • Excellent communication skill – able to articulate work to key stakeholders and collaborate cross functionally
  • Familiar with UX design process and prototyping tools
  • Product sense and visual creativity
  • Experience with agile project management
  • Technical background or BA/BS in highly analytical field preferred
  • Prior experience managing a team preferred
