Summary

If you’re passionate about scaling large systems, like your dev mixed with some ops and vice versa, and love learning then we should talk. We’re hiring a core services engineer in Salt Lake City to work with our Bridge Learning Management team to build core platform features, scale the application, and keep our uptime, well, up.
Responsibilities
* We develop. Using best practices and leaning on high test coverage, we write code to make Bridge faster and more reliableWe orchestrate. * We using tools like Terraform and Ansible to deploy code and services to AWS in a repeatable, reliable way. * We influence the technical direction for the product. We want to remain at the forefront of the technological landscape, and regularly evaluate and adopt new, promising technology where it can make a positive difference for our teams and customers.
Ideal Candidate
* A team player. We’re a small team that relies on strong communication and passion for education to share knowledge and vision inside and outside the team. * Strong technical skills. We use a combination of Ruby, JavaScript, and Clojure to craft world-class solutions, and have a strong code review culture that encourages excellence and personal development. * Experience with DevOps tools like Terraform and Ansible. * Previous experience with AWS is also strongly preferred. * A growth mindset. The technology landscape is constantly changing, and we want someone who is excited by that and eager to continue learning. * Collaboration skills. We regularly meet with product/program management, QA, and UI/UX to coordinate sweeping improvements and additions to the platform. * BS or greater in computer science preferred, but not required.
