Summary

Insight is currently looking for a Sr. Network Consultant to join our Consulting Services team.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in and lead the assessment, planning, designing, and implementing of Network and Security solutions including high availability, routing/switching, VPN, security policies and address translation.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the projects including delegation of tasks to other project team members
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Provide documentation including implementation plans, test plans, migration plans and detailed designs to client upon project completion
  • Provide knowledge transfer and operational documents to the client
  • Conduct user and administrative training for Insight staff to keep team updated on client network changes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Implement networking technologies and solutions based on networking designs
  • Advanced troubleshooting of network issues
  • Design network solutions to meet client networking requirements
  • Test network to ensure it is functioning as planned
  • Work with clients to identify business and technical networking requirements
  • Raise incidents and changes following client’s compliancy standards.

Ideal Candidate

Information on Qualifications

  • 5+ years designing, implementing and configuring network and security components and supporting infrastructure
  • Experience with F5, Aruba, Juniper and Infoblox is preferred.
  • Excellent client interaction, problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience with network and security monitoring tools such as CA Spectrum, Aruba Airwave, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.
  • Previous experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting routing protocols in LAN/WAN implementations such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.
  • Circuit knowledge ( DS3, DS1,T1, T3, MLPPP, ONS, IMA, AT&T SONET/UVN, and MPLS)
  • Advanced Cisco Nexus (7K, 5K, 2K), 6500, 4500 and 3500 switch knowledge
  • Advanced Cisco ASR, ISR G2 router knowledge

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or demonstrated performance in a technical work environment.
  • Growth in technical skills through certifications (CCNP/CCDP/JNCIP/CCIE) or other similar achievements is required.
