Lead Frontend Software Engineer

inMarket is a mobile consumer engagement platform that reaches over 50MM shoppers in over one million locations across the U.S. Located on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA with offices in Chicago and New York, inMarket is a 7 year old bootstrapped start-up that was founded by award-winning tech entrepreneurs (Inc. 500, Fast 50, TechCrunch Disrupt) who successfully exited their previous company at nine figures.

inMarket is seeking talented engineers to help develop products seen by more than 50 million monthly active users. We develop for iOS, Android, and web. Our focus is mobile location-based experiences. We maintain apps developed in-house, and provide an API that enables other app developers to reach their users with proximity-based experiences. We also use big data to get insights into user behavior.

* Leading frontend engineering efforts in developing features and functionality * Optimizing application performance and scalability to meet business and financial goals * Designing your own complex solutions and integrating with others * Rapidly identifying and addressing software design issues by creating innovative solutions

**These are the skills you will need to be successful:** * Minimum of 5 years of frontend engineering experience required. * Expert-level understanding of JavaScript and CSS. * Significant experience with at least two of the following - Node.js, React.js, Angular.js or jQuery. * Experience working in an Agile environment. Scrum or Kanban preferred * Experience with high volume of traffic and data * Significant experience building consumer facing products * Experience with REST APIs * Experience working with public cloud providers (AWS and/or GCP highly preferred) * Understanding of and experience working with CI/CD frameworks. **Desired Characteristics** * Experience with application performance optimization and tuning * Working knowledge of JIRA is a plus * Good working knowledge of MySQL is a plus * Involvement in the development of an SDK that is integrated into third parties’ products * AdTech experience is a plus * Experience with Zend or another PHP-based MVC framework is a plus * Working experience with TDD or BDD is a plus * Hands-on experience with test automation is a plus
