Summary
ITVS is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our high-performing Communications Unit. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with an established media brand. Design work includes the promotion of our Emmy Award-winning documentary series Independent Lens, innovative new media projects, and other institutional initiatives. The Graphic Designer will report to the Senior Designer and work cross-departmentally with talented, passionate professionals to support all facets of ITVS’s activities.
Responsibilities
- Design assets for print, web, and video to market and promote ITVS content and initiatives, including Independent Lens television series, thematic campaigns, and on-the-ground events - Collaborate with Senior Designer to act as a brand manager for various ITVS brands - Design materials including proposals, presentations, reports, brochures for the Development and Executive teams - Collaborate with Senior Designer in creating strategic communications for ITVS leadership - Provide quality assurance reviews for internal and external communications generated throughout the organization
Ideal Candidate
- BFA in graphic design or comparable work experience - Two to three years experience in graphic design in a corporate, agency, or studio setting - Excellent design and creative thinking skills, ability to explain the story behind the design - Ability to independently carry projects from concept to execution - Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and competing priorities - Desire to continually learn and improve - Highly adaptable and collaborative - Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft products including PowerPoint and Word **Bonus:** - Experience designing for film/television promotion - Experience collaborating with web developers After Effects proficiency
