Software Engineer III

In this Tools and Prototype Developer role, you will draw from past experiences to develop tools and features that bring efficiencies to the game development process. You will also help bring compelling new slot game play mechanics to life by creating rapid prototypes using the Unity game engine. Collaborate with designers, engineers and artists to gather requirements by fully understanding their needs and solve problems that create bottlenecks in their workflow. Work closely as an agile team unit to deliver all releases at a steady predictable pace.

* Work with a mentor to understand the platform, best practices and processes used in development at IGT. * Build professional relationships with peers through immersion in the studio environment * Work closely with the Game Design team to create compelling prototype games. * Work closely with all studio contributors to create and improve the development environment.

* Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. * Eight plus years of professional experience in software engineering. Experience in C#/C++ for applications with video game development. * Experience with game engines like Unity or equivalent. * Require excellent organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills, and a high level of interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in cross functional teams in a fast paced environment **Preferred Qualifications** * Gaming industry experience a plus. * Web application development. * Experience in Python * Understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) * Special requirements needed * Security Investigation **Keys To Success** * Deliver exceptional customer service * Demonstrate accountability and integrity * Develop successful relationship * Embrace change * Demonstrate business savvy
