Responsibilities
  • Develop software tools, hooks and automation to support test plans.
  • Work closely with software development and test automation engineers.
  • Lead the testing and verification process of software systems in IGT’s gaming products for multiple projects and review the work of other engineers.
  • Review product documentation and packages.
  • May investigate escalated field issues.
  • Write test plans and scripts for new and existing products.
  • Generate and review test results.
  • Document test methods and findings, summarize results and recommend fixes.
  • Perform troubleshooting and research into errors before communicating to engineering.
  • Participate in creating test standards.
  • Test IGT gaming software to ensure it meets required customer jurisdictional and functionality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform ad hoc, black box and white box testing.
  • Understand QA processes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Understand and execute test suite to indentify areas for tooling and automation.
  • Interface directly with development resources and monitor key projects.
  • Create test hooks in parallel with feature development and execute automated tests upon check-ins.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science required or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in software engineering product assurance.
  • Programming background in C#, C/C++, VB, Java, SQL, XML, NUnit, JUnit and/or .NET for test frameworks/scripts/automated test tools.
  • Software test tools and applications.
  • QA processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with real-time embedded microprocessor systems is a plus.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to obtain a Gaming License
