Summary
The Technical Service Representative will provide to customers, both external and internal, a primary contact for the exchange of technical assistance and information. This assistance can vary from product selection or application guidance to operational troubleshooting for our products.
Responsibilities
* Professionally interact with customers, associates and others via phone, in person, e-mail or other written or verbal methods. * Possess a thorough knowledge of Hale and Class1 products * Work closely with Customer Service, Product Managers, Quality Assurance and Engineering departments * Provide technical support requests to Product Managers, Engineers, and others * Provide customers with product advisories, announcements, or other technical data a need in order to provide world class customer satisfaction * May provide training to customers both in-house and in the field as needed * Conduct product warranty investigations and request the issuance of credit memos as needed in accordance with ISO 9001 procedures. **This function will initiate RMA ctions with related submission of credit memos** * Assist customers, internal and external, with selection of parts required in product repair * Handles customer issues that arise from the use of Class 1/Hale products * Handles requests for replacing defective parts * Enters orders accurately as needed * Receives and resolves customer complaints and technical issues * Issue customer “Return Materials Authorization” numbers * Maintain “RMA” database as required * Product knowledge * Other duties as assigned
