Summary
As a Software Test Engineer I at iCIMS, you are part of the Quality Assurance team and will participate in the development of test scenarios and execution of testing our innovative software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze the software and develop test cases and best practices to test application components. You will perform technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of tools and methodologies to ensure compliance and best practices. To be successful you must have the ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities. You must also be innovative, self-motivated and posses excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for Manual Functional, Migration and Regression testing of features scheduled for release * Responsible for creating and maintaining the Test Case Library, which can be run before every release by level I test engineers * Help set up test data or test environment for running test cases * Review and verify bug tickets within JIRA * Responsible for creating and tracking defects in the bug tracking tool effectively * Work with development team/Technical writing team to ensure documentation is available and is always current * Troubleshoot and help Production tickets when routed to QA level
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other technical degree from a reputable institution * Minimum 1 year of work experience * Basic knowledge of SDLC * Basic knowledge of Software Quality Assurance and best practices * Demonstrate ability to independently develop and maintain test plans/cases * Self-motivated, able to learn and research issues independently * Strong desire for quality and an attention to detail
