Responsibilities
* Develop and revise Maintenance Instruction Documents (MIDs), including Maintenance Standards and Test Procedures used in life cycle maintenance of the U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine fleet * Review production work documents to ensure technical currency and accuracy of MIDs requirements into the work documents * Work will include some creation of drawings in AutoCAD software
Ideal Candidate
**Bachelor's of Science Degree** * Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred **Experience Requirements:** **This is an entry level position and the following experiences are considered an plus:** * Creating technical documentation supporting building, testing, and / or overhauling electro-mechanical systems down to the component level * Working in a private or U.S. Naval shipyard * Serving aboard a U.S. Navy or Merchant Marine vessel * Working within a company Quality Management System (e.g. ISO 9000) **Other Requirements:** * Ability to acquire secret clearance * Ability to review and comprehend system and component drawings, technical manuals, and other technical publications used in developing MIDs products * Work requires excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (particularly Word and Excel) * Work requires excellent technical writing skills
