Summary

The Technology & Management Solutions Group provides a broad range of services related to information technology support for our Rockville, MD office. We are currently seeking a Web Designer to provide support.

Responsibilities

Design and construct web pages/sites using Responsive Web Design (RWD) and including graphical user interface (GUI) standards as well as modern UX tools and methods
Design for Social Media Platforms
Maintain and provide ongoing design support
Engage with Internal and External Clients
Produce Creative Briefs

Ideal Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in a Graphic Design or related field
* 5 years of experience in responsive web design (RWD) or a related area
* 5 years implementing web systems using a Web Content Management System (WCMS) such as Percussion
* 5 years of experience designing for 508 compliant websites
* 5 years of experience with social media platforms
* 5 years of experience with User-Centered Design Approach
* 1 to 4 years using HTML5, HTML4, and CSS3

**Preferred Skills/Experience:**

* Understanding of the following concepts fluently: Responsive Web Design, CSS3, and Progressive Enhancement
* Complete understanding of the Percussion WCMS
* Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
* Ability to assist in production of wireframes

**Professional Skills:**

* Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
* Resourceful and self motivated
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet competing deadlines
* Strong client facing skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks, to work simultaneously on multiple projects
* Ability to work collaboratively, including with geographically dispersed team members
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* Must be familiar with the latest graphic design software, especially the Adobe suite of products.
