Sr. User Experience Architect

In this position, the successful candidate will:
- Lead projects and manage design teams in a very collaborative environment
- Possess strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Conduct audits of existing systems and web sites, based on clarity and usability best practices, and prepare reports of findings and improvement recommendations
- Lead discovery sessions and assist in defining business requirements, discover user personas/archetype and interpret user goals and priorities
- Lead the requirements definition activities. Facilitate the process of gathering, prioritizing, documenting, and garnering stakeholder buy-in.
- Adapt requirements to specific project phase or needs: functional requirements for a strategic engagement, use-cases for development process, or user stories for an agile development process.
- Develop detailed site maps that will define the page hierarchy, navigation schema, taxonomy and nomenclature
- Architect complex content and information systems into usage scenarios and use cases, wireframes, content outlines, mock-ups/storyboards, functional specifications as well as paper and interactive prototypes.
- Develop content and workflow maps indicating process and systems implications, navigation and content relationships
- Evaluate and review early visual mockups and or prototype designs
- Experience designing applications for global audiences
- Experience designing accessible applications
- Mentor jr. level team members
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years practicing UI / UX design for web, native mobile and custom applications, (web, mobile, native applications, social, email, promotions, etc.) for fortune 500 companies.
- Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) of Arts or Science degree in Human Computer Interaction (Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science a plus)
- Familiarity with both agile and plan-driven development processes
- Experience contributing to organization and team thought leadership (e.g., white papers, conference presentations, etc.)
- Must be articulate with strong writing skills
- Strong business development skills
- Must be able to supply samples of previous research and design work
